Citibase, now known as DRI's Basic Economics database, is very popular. Citibase is a macroeconomic database, containing approximately 7,000 monthly, quarterly, and annual time series that date back to 1946, when available, and end with the latest available observations. The data consists of national-level information, taken from more than a hundred U.S. government and private publications.

See ``help citibase'' for detailed information, including SAS extraction programs using proc citibase and TSP extraction programs. We maintain Citibase in both the raw ascii format and as a TSP databank.
