Other Data in the EML

We also maintain some permanently mounted databases on CD ROM, and share data with the UC DATA/LIBRARY CENSUS CD ROM project and the Haas School of Business.

  1. CD ROMs permanently mounted on EML include:

If you have a CD ROM that you would like to have mounted, we will be happy to provide that service to you.

  2. NFS exported data sets include:

  3. The EML is the repository of Lorna Greening's integrated Consumer Expenditure Survey data sets (1980-1994). Because of the large size of this dataset, we are making it available from our anonymous FTP server rather than from the EML's production fileserver. Point your web browser or do an anonymous FTP to

                ftp://elsa.berkeley.edu/pub/ices

The data are available as standard ascii files or as Unix SAS datasets. See ``help ices'' for details. The BLS has made available online documentation to us for all fourteen years.

  4. The EML is also the repository of David Card's and Ken Chay's Census extracts of the 5% sample for 1980 and 1990. The data are available as Unix SAS datasets. Point your web browser or do an anonymous FTP to

                ftp://esla.berkeley.edu/pub/census

David Card has also made available the raw 1970 census data along with sample SAS extraction programs, and the STF3C files for the 1990 census.
