ELSA's PEOPLE
Many people contributed to the creation of ELSA. Paul
Ruud and Daniel McFadden believed that an econometrics software
archive would be a valuable contribution to economics and convinced
the National Science Foundation to provide start-up funds. Grace
Katagiri recruited volunteers for the project, organized workgroups,
and coordinated the design and implementation effort.
Volunteers included David Revelt, Harish Chand, Jeff Ely, Chris
Downing, Sean Ennis, and Sam Quigley.
Ofer Licht provided key systems administration support, and together
with Rick Kawin, was responsible for configuring the ELSA server.
We would also like to thank the people who reviewed our efforts in
progress and provided valuable, detailed, and candid comments. They
helped us improve the aesthetic appearance of this site, reminded us
of matters of substance that we had overlooked, and pointed out errors
(some of commission, others of omission). Our reviewers include James
Blakly, Bill Goffe, Markus Hatterscheid, Ofer Licht, Jeff
MacKie-Mason, Bob Parks, and Hal Varian.
